About InfiniteBox

InfiniteBox is an amalgamation of multiple cancelled projects, most notably TuxCity — a simulation of dynamic AI where agents would form relationships and build towns.

Development on the current version began in November 2025. After multiple delays it has just entered pre-alpha testing. The foundation is finally solid enough to share.

Features

🌌

Infinite Worlds

Each save — called a Verse — contains literally infinite worlds to explore. Hundreds of planet types are planned, alongside procedural and handcrafted units.

🔧

Modding API

Built for modders from the ground up. The Builder system makes updating mods across game versions as painless as possible.

🤖

Dynamic AI

Every mob has its own emotions, needs, wants, and goals — designed to run in simulations with 50,000+ mobs simultaneously.

Rapid Development

One update every week, minimum. The game is actively evolving and community feedback is shaping every release.

Get Mods

InfiniteBox is built with modding as a first-class feature. The Builder API handles version compatibility automatically — mod once, update rarely.

Mod Repository

A central hub for community mods is in development. For now, check the GameBanana and Discord for new mods.

How to Install Mods

  1. Download a mod — you'll receive a zip file.
  2. Open your InfiniteBox installation directory.
  3. Navigate to the MODS/ folder inside the installation directory. Create it if it doesn't exist.
  4. Unzip the file inside the MODS/ folder.
  5. Launch InfiniteBox in modded mode. The mod will be auto-detected and listed in the MODS menu if loaded.
  6. Have fun!
Note: Pre-alpha builds are released often (sometimes after a long wait lmao). If a mod breaks after an update, the Builder API is designed to minimise that — but check with the mod author for compatibility confirmations.
